Design Philosophy Nota comes from the Latin word meaning “musical note” or “annotation”. Just as a musician composes a piece, an architect expresses their interpretation through design. Nota’s architectural practice and research are grounded in a multidisciplinary, interactive perspective, with a focus on Biophilic Design. These concepts stem from our reflections on the consciousness of life and are embodied in a human-centered design philosophy that infuses each project with unique value and lasting vitality. In our work, we collaborate closely with clients, users, consultants, and contractors, balancing their needs with flexibility and a scientific methodology. We view architecture, interiors, and landscapes as an integrated, organic entity, ensuring that our design proposals are the result of a holistic process. This approach guarantees seamless connections from the urban scale down to the smallest details of furniture design. We value the wisdom embedded in China’s traditional culture and use modern design language to preserve and innovate these insights, a concept we call "Inheritage." |
